Fête des Pêcheurs d'Agde — edition 2026

The Agde Fishermen's Festival, celebrated in honor of Saint Peter, patron saint of fishermen, returns from Friday, July 3rd to Sunday, July 5th, 2026, in Agde and Grau d'Agde. Three days of maritime tradition: procession and blessing of boats at sea, nautical jousts, seafood tastings, concerts, and fireworks. Free admission.

Agde Fishermen's Festival — 2026 Edition

The 2026 edition of the Agde Fishermen's Festival takes place from Friday, July 3rd to Sunday, July 5th, 2026, in Agde and Grau d'Agde (Hérault). A traditional festival dedicated to Saint Peter, patron saint of fishermen, it is held notably around the Grau d'Agde Fish Market (43 quai Commandant Méric) and in the historic heart of Agde.

On the program: arrival of Saint Peter by river, procession and mass at Saint-Sever church, torchlight procession, sea outing and blessing of boats with the laying of wreaths in memory of lost sailors, nautical jousts on the Hérault, traditional game tournament Lo Capelet, tastings of sardines and seafood, concerts, and fireworks. Catering is available on site on Saturday and Sunday (reservations recommended).

Access

Reach Agde or Le Grau d'Agde by road. Parking available near the festival sites. The processions and boat blessing take place between the town center of Agde and the port of Le Grau d'Agde.

Agde Fishermen's Festival

The Agde Fishermen's Festival is one of the great traditional events in the maritime life of Agde and Le Grau d'Agde, in the Hérault department, Occitanie. Celebrated in honor of Saint Peter, patron saint of fishermen, it perpetuates an ancient tradition centered around the community of seafarers.

A maritime festival rooted in its territory

Mainly organized around the Criée du Grau d'Agde and in the historic heart of Agde, the festival blends religious fervor, remembrance of sailors, and popular festivities. An emblematic highlight: the procession followed by the sea outing and the blessing of the boats, with the laying of wreaths in memory of lost sailors.
