The Pignan Olive Festival returns on Sunday, October 4, 2026, to celebrate the green gold of Languedoc. A benchmark gastronomic event in Hérault since 1984, it takes place from 10 AM to 6 PM in the park of Pignan Castle. A market of producers and artisans, olive and olive oil tastings, a parade of the Confrérie des Chevaliers de l'Olivier, entertainment and games for children punctuate this free day dedicated to the emblematic fruit of the Mediterranean.
Each autumn, Pignan honors the olive, an emblematic product of the Hérault region. Pignan is the only commune in the Montpellier metropolis to have an olive cooperative equipped with a mill and a sales shop, which anchors this festival in a true olive tree culture.
The 2026 edition takes place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 10 AM to 6 PM, in the park of Pignan Castle (Château des Comtes de Turenne). All day long: market of producers and artisans, exhibitions, tastings of olives, olive oil and derived products, entertainment and games for children (mini-farm, duck fishing, shows), and guided tours of Pignan offered by the tourist office.
Created in 1984, the Olive Festival has established itself as a benchmark gastronomic event in the department, loyal to its audience and to the promotion of local agricultural heritage.
