Fête du Fromage de Pont-l'Évêque

More than 40 years of cheese tradition

Since 1985, the Fête du Fromage de Pont-l'Évêque has celebrated the famous eponymous cheese and the gastronomic treasures of Normandy. Organized by the City of Pont-l'Évêque, this festival has become a must-attend event for cheese and gastronomy lovers, attracting thousands of visitors each spring to the Parc du Drap-d'Or.

An exceptional gastronomic market

More than 80 exhibitors gather for a large market of local products. The four great Norman PDO cheeses are in the spotlight: Pont-l'Évêque, Camembert, Livarot, and Neufchâtel, accompanied by their table companions: ciders, pommeaux, calvados, wines, and spirits. Visitors can also discover charcuterie, jams, honey, and other regional delicacies.

The Pont-l'Évêque d'Or Competition

A highlight of the festival, the Pont-l'Évêque d'Or Competition rewards the best Pont-l'Évêque cheeses: cheeses scoring over 17/20 receive the prestigious Pont-l'Évêque d'Or distinction. This competition highlights the know-how of cheesemakers and the quality of Norman productions.

Activities and processions

The program includes processions of cheese brotherhoods, guided tours of the town, an exhibition of Pont-l'Évêque labels, a mini-farm for children, tastings of PDO cheeses and AOC wines, as well as a traditional cycling race. The festival is designed for the whole family, with activities for both young and old.
