Fireworks, popular ball and entertainment at Parc Pic for July 14th
Every year, the town of Vanves (Hauts-de-Seine) brings its residents together to celebrate the National Holiday on July 14th. The festivities traditionally take place on the evening of July 13th at Parc Pic, the town's green lung and living space, which is transformed for the occasion into a huge open-air stage.
The event is entirely free and open to all, in the generous and popular spirit of July 14th. Thousands of Vanves residents gather each year to share this festive, family-friendly, and republican moment.
The evening begins at 7 PM with a series of activities designed for families. A face painting workshop welcomes children who wish to get into the festive spirit. Music gradually takes over Parc Pic with dance entertainment and open-air performances.
The evening continues with a concert featuring festive tunes, before the long-awaited moment of the grand show. In 2025, an impressive 3D laser show illuminated the park, creating spectacular visual effects with a projection on a water screen. This type of pyrotechnic and light show is one of the evening's highlights.
After the show, a popular ball led by a DJ entertains young and old late into the night. The relaxed and warm atmosphere of the park makes this evening an unforgettable moment of sharing.
To ensure public safety, Parc Pic is traditionally closed the day before the festivities (Saturday, July 12th) from the morning until 1 PM, to allow for equipment setup. It is also closed the following morning (July 14th) for dismantling. Residents are invited to consult the town hall's communications for any potential traffic restrictions in the neighborhood.
Vanves is a dynamic municipality in the southwest of the Parisian metropolis, known for its rich associative and cultural life. The National Holiday is part of a calendar of municipal events that punctuate the town's life throughout the year. The town is also known for its famous Vanves flea market, one of the largest in the Paris region, held every weekend at the Porte de Vanves.
Parc Pic, located in the heart of the town, is a key green space for Vanves residents. It regularly hosts cultural and sporting events, and the National Holiday finds an ideal setting there to bring the community together in a convivial atmosphere.
The town of Vanves will once again host its National Holiday on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Parc Pic. The event will once again bring together the residents of Vanves for concerts, family entertainment, and the evening's grand pyrotechnic or light show, followed by the traditional popular ball.
