The Festa's de Florac: the Cévenol votive festival

Each summer, the commune of Florac Trois Rivières, nestled at the confluence of the Tarnon and the Tarn at the foot of the Cévennes, celebrates its traditional votive festival. This popular event, rooted in local traditions, enlivens the town center and the esplanade for several days around August 15th, offering a moment of sharing and good humor where everyone comes together to party.

Gastronomy and conviviality

The festival begins in the morning with the traditional breakfast with manouls, organized by Football Sud Lozère on the esplanade. Manouls, a tripe specialty from southern Lozère, are a must-try of local gastronomy. A tour of fougasses, these traditional brioche breads, completes this morning feast. The midday meal offers the emblematic aligot-saucisse, a convivial dish par excellence from the Aubrac and Lozère regions.
