Les Fêtes Escales: a festival rooted in rural heritage

Created in the mid-2000s by the Chalandray Festival and Animation Committee, Fêtes Escales has established itself as a cultural event not to be missed in the north of the Vienne region. Each summer, the Château de Tréguel, an elegant 19th-century residence surrounded by 15 hectares of forest and 8 hectares of meadows, opens its doors to host a weekend of eclectic and accessible festivities for everyone.

An eclectic and generous program

The strength of Fêtes Escales lies in the diversity of its programming. The festival skillfully blends French chanson concerts, world music, and artistic discoveries. Over the years, the public has been able to applaud renowned artists such as Paris Combo, who presented their new compositions on the castle stage. Burlesque circus performances, offered outdoors and free of charge, add a poetic and family-friendly touch to the event.

An exceptional heritage setting

The Château de Tréguel provides a remarkable setting for this rural festival. Built in the 19th century, the building is distinguished by its rectangular architecture adorned with balustraded loggias, decorative windows, and a circular machicolated tower topped with a conical roof. The estate, bathed in summer light, offers an intimate setting where music resonates among the ancient trees and verdant meadows of the Vouglaisien.
