The 5th edition of the Esprit Rock Festival takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Parc du Pontreau in Lencloître (86). Doors open at 4:45 PM with Banda Bémol, followed by five bands from 5:30 PM to midnight: Silly Monkeys, Voodoo Queen, Trigones Plus, Mazingo, and Astonvilla. Free and conscious entry.
2026 Edition — 5th edition in Lencloître
Esprit Rock Festival returns to Lencloître for its second year at Parc du Pontreau on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in partnership with the municipality and Grand Châtellerault. Five bands will perform from 5:30 PM to midnight, featuring Astonvilla at 9:50 PM.
Doors open at 4:45 PM to the sounds of Banda Bémol. The site features two stages, an artist lounge open to the public for signings and merchandise, and stands from local social, health, cultural, and sports associations.
120 volunteers and technicians make this event possible. A ramp-accessible platform is available for guests with reduced mobility, vibrating vests are available for the deaf and hard of hearing by reservation, and a prevention area provides hearing protection for children, earplugs, and breathalyzers. Entry remains free and conscious: guests contribute whatever they wish at the entrance.

Getting there
The festival entrance is at Parc du Pontreau, 14 rue Saint-Exupéry, 86140 Lencloître. The park is pedestrian-only; several parking areas are available throughout the town, notably near the multimedia hall and the fairground. Accessible parking for disabled visitors and motorcycle parking are located at the park entrance. The organizers have announced shuttle buses between Châtellerault and Lencloître. Carpooling is highly encouraged.

The first concert starts at 5:30 PM, with the event scheduled to end at midnight. Grand Châtellerault Tourism indicates doors open at 4:45 PM with music from Banda Bémol, while the official website lists 5:30 PM.

Free entry with voluntary contribution: you can leave a donation at the entrance—give whatever you wish. No tickets are required.

A variety of caterers, food trucks, a wine bar, and refreshment stands will be available, offering sandwiches, fries, crêpes, and sweets. Payments are made by credit card at each stall; an exchange booth at the entrance allows you to trade cash or card payments for BAZYK, the festival's official currency. Eco-friendly reusable cups, recycling bins, and ashtrays are provided throughout the site.
Accessibility
A platform with a ramp is available for visitors with reduced mobility, along with accessible restrooms and dedicated parking at the park entrance. Vibrating vests are available for loan to deaf and hard-of-hearing guests; advance booking is required by calling 06 83 29 60 85, subject to availability. The prevention stand provides earplugs, noise-canceling headphones for sensitive individuals, breathalyzers, condoms, and menstrual hygiene kits.
Security and Prohibited Items
Security checks for people and bags will take place at the entrance, so please arrive early. Prohibited items include: glass bottles, weapons, explosive or flammable substances, fireworks and candles, sharp or blunt objects, projectiles, professional audiovisual equipment, flagpoles, parasols and umbrellas with non-retractable tips, bicycle pumps and repair kits, and political, ideological, religious, or advertising banners. Motorcycle helmets must be left at the association's cloakroom. Pets are not allowed.

Esprit Rock Festival: Rock Culture Closer to the People
Born in 2022 in Naintré under the impetus of the association Le Bocal à Zyk, chaired by Jean-Philippe Debiais, the Esprit Rock Festival has quickly established itself as a must-attend event on the rock scene in the north of Vienne. Its original concept is based on mobility: each year, the festival takes over a different town in the Grand Châtellerault territory, thus creating a strong link between music and the inhabitants of rural areas often far from cultural offerings.
An Itinerant Journey Through Châtelleraudais
Since its creation, the Esprit Rock Festival has successively set up its amps in Naintré (2022), Thuré (2023), Antran (2024), and Lencloître (2025). Each edition transforms a park or a communal green space into an open-air concert stage, hosting five bands from 5:30 PM to midnight. This format allows it to reach a diverse audience, from families to rock enthusiasts, in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.
An Eclectic and Accessible Program
The festival's artistic direction embraces all variations of rock: from heavy rock to punk, from pop metal to folk bluegrass, including melodic rock and beatmaking. The 2024 edition in Antran notably featured The Sidewalk Bandits, Ambre, Panem, Kill the Princess, and Mazette, while the 2025 edition in Lencloître brought together Kube, Kiss of Bliss, Archi Deep, Twin Souls, and Clément Helbert. This diversity reflects the organizers' desire to offer an intergenerational and surprising program.
A Free Festival Driven by Passionate Volunteers
True to its philosophy of cultural accessibility, the Esprit Rock Festival operates on the principle of free and conscious entry: each spectator is invited to give what they wish, according to their experience. The festival, with a budget of approximately 40,000 euros, is made possible by the support of local authorities, local partners, and the commitment of about sixty volunteers. As a member of the Vienne Fest collective, the association Le Bocal à Zyk is committed to sustainable development, in partnership with the Naintré recycling center, among others.
