Esprit Rock Festival: Rock Culture Closer to the People

Born in 2022 in Naintré under the impetus of the association Le Bocal à Zyk, chaired by Jean-Philippe Debiais, the Esprit Rock Festival has quickly established itself as a must-attend event on the rock scene in the north of Vienne. Its original concept is based on mobility: each year, the festival takes over a different town in the Grand Châtellerault territory, thus creating a strong link between music and the inhabitants of rural areas often far from cultural offerings.

An Itinerant Journey Through Châtelleraudais

Since its creation, the Esprit Rock Festival has successively set up its amps in Naintré (2022), Thuré (2023), Antran (2024), and Lencloître (2025). Each edition transforms a park or a communal green space into an open-air concert stage, hosting five bands from 5:30 PM to midnight. This format allows it to reach a diverse audience, from families to rock enthusiasts, in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.

An Eclectic and Accessible Program

The festival's artistic direction embraces all variations of rock: from heavy rock to punk, from pop metal to folk bluegrass, including melodic rock and beatmaking. The 2024 edition in Antran notably featured The Sidewalk Bandits, Ambre, Panem, Kill the Princess, and Mazette, while the 2025 edition in Lencloître brought together Kube, Kiss of Bliss, Archi Deep, Twin Souls, and Clément Helbert. This diversity reflects the organizers' desire to offer an intergenerational and surprising program.

A Free Festival Driven by Passionate Volunteers

True to its philosophy of cultural accessibility, the Esprit Rock Festival operates on the principle of free and conscious entry: each spectator is invited to give what they wish, according to their experience. The festival, with a budget of approximately 40,000 euros, is made possible by the support of local authorities, local partners, and the commitment of about sixty volunteers. As a member of the Vienne Fest collective, the association Le Bocal à Zyk is committed to sustainable development, in partnership with the Naintré recycling center, among others.
