About Fêtes Normandes
Fêtes Normandes — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Fêtes Normandes in Évreux takes place on October 3rd and 4th, centered on the theme "Normandy, Land of Automobiles," with Dieppe as our guest of honor. The city center will host a classic car exhibition, a showroom of exceptional vehicles, F1 simulators, and concerts, alongside a market of Norman producers and family-friendly activities.
An edition dedicated to the automobile
For 2026, the Fêtes Normandes explore Normandy's automotive history: the internal combustion engine invented by Édouard Delamare-Deboutteville in 1884, the 1894 Paris-Rouen race, the Évreux garages of André Citroën and Edmond Hée, the Rouen-Les Essarts circuit, and the Plaines et Vallées rally. Dieppe, our guest of honor, showcases its own automotive heritage, from the Alpine adventure launched by Jean Rédélé to its major popular events.
Place du Général-de-Gaulle and Square Georges-Brassens will host the classic car exhibition, the showroom of exceptional vehicles, the local produce market, and two days of musical performances. The Jardin de l'Évêché offers activities focused on road safety and speed: F1 simulators, electric mini-kart tracks, and a National Gendarmerie vehicle exhibition. On Sunday morning, the monthly classic car gathering will be held exceptionally at Place Clemenceau.

Normandy in the spotlight in the heart of Évreux
The Fêtes Normandes d'Évreux are the annual event celebrating Norman traditions, heritage, and gastronomy. Since their creation in 2015, they have brought together several thousand visitors every first weekend of October in the center of Évreux, around Place du Général de Gaulle and Square Georges-Brassens.
A different theme each year
The originality of the Fêtes Normandes lies in the choice of a different theme for each edition, accompanied by an invited Norman town of honor. This approach renews the event and highlights the richness and diversity of Norman heritage:
- 2015: The cow, with Bayeux as the invited town
- 2016: The sea
- 2017: The horse
- 2018: The Vikings
- 2019: Cinema
- 2021: Castles
- 2022: Aviation
- 2024: Liberations and Reconstructions
- 2025: Tales and Legends, with Domfront-en-Poiraie as the invited town
A market of Norman producers and artisans
The heart of the Fêtes Normandes is a large market of local producers and artisans who occupy the squares and streets of the city center. Cheesemakers, cider producers, bakers, charcuterie makers, jam makers, and other Norman producers offer their specialties for tasting and sale. Demonstrations of artisanal know-how—butter making, woodworking, basket weaving, lace making—allow visitors to discover the ancestral gestures of the Norman terroir.
Shows, activities, and living heritage
The cultural program of the Fêtes Normandes is rich and varied. Live shows entertain throughout the two days: theatrical sketches, Norman tales and legends, historical reenactments, and costumed parades. In 2025, visitors can witness reenactments of famous Norman legends, from the Templars of Gisors to the White Lady of Mortemer.
Farm animal exhibitions—Norman cows, Percheron horses, sheep, poultry—delight children and recall the importance of livestock farming in Norman identity. Numerous family activities complete the program: workshops, traditional games, rides, and carousels.
Norman gastronomy celebrated
Gastronomy plays a central role in the Fêtes Normandes. Norman cuisine, renowned for its richness and finesse, is highlighted through food service areas offering the region's emblematic dishes: tripes à la mode de Caen, teurgoule, boudin noir, andouille de Vire, apple tart, and douillons. All accompanied by farm cider, Calvados, and poiré. Admission is free for everyone.
