About Foire de Beaucaire
The Beaucaire Fair, better known as the Fêtes de la Madeleine, is one of Beaucaire's great historical events, in the Gard, Occitanie. Heir to a centuries-old fair famous throughout the South, the event is held annually at the end of July and traditionally begins on July 21st, the day of Saint Mary Magdalene, patron saint of the city. The week combines the great Provence-Camargue bullfighting tradition — abrivados, bandidos, encierros, Camargue races at the Arènes Paul Laurent — and the festive atmosphere of the city center with its fairground, bodegas, and shows.
