About Foire de Beaucaire

The Beaucaire Fair, better known as the Fêtes de la Madeleine, is one of Beaucaire's great historical events, in the Gard, Occitanie. Heir to a centuries-old fair famous throughout the South, the event is held annually at the end of July and traditionally begins on July 21st, the day of Saint Mary Magdalene, patron saint of the city. It contributes to the cultural and tourist dynamism of the commune and the entire department.

The Beaucaire Fair in Beaucaire

The Beaucaire Fair (Fêtes de la Madeleine) is an unmissable event in the local life of Beaucaire and the Gard, in Occitanie. Heir to the great historical fair of Beaucaire, once one of the most frequented in Europe, it perpetuates every summer a tradition deeply rooted in the territory.

An event rooted in its territory

In the heart of Beaucaire, the event takes over the city center, the Arènes Paul Laurent, and the Champ de Foire. It fully contributes to the tourist attractiveness of the Gard and promotes the Provençal and Camargue traditions of the Occitanie region.

A week of festivities

Each edition offers a week of festivities combining bullfighting tradition (abrivados, bandidos, encierros, Camargue races), a grand opening parade, outdoor entertainment, bodegas, and shows. The full program is communicated annually by the City of Beaucaire as the event approaches.

A friendly gathering

The Beaucaire Fair is above all a moment of sharing and conviviality. Whether you are passionate about Camargue tradition or simply curious, everyone will find something to enjoy a warm moment in Beaucaire.
