For three days, over 2,500 riders compete in four spectacular disciplines: horse-ball, pony-games, horse archery, and paddock polo. The Grand Tournoi is a unique event in France dedicated to collective equestrian sports. Four Spectacular Disciplines
The Grand Tournoi features four collective equestrian sports:
- Horse-ball: A fast-paced team sport where riders must catch and pass a ball with handles to score goals, combining riding, skill, and strategy.
- Pony-games: Speed and skill relay events, very popular with young riders.
- Horse archery: An ancient discipline combining horsemanship and archery precision.
- Paddock polo: An accessible and modern version of polo, played on a small field.
A National-Scale Event
With over 2,500 riders and 570 teams registered, the Grand Tournoi is the largest gathering of collective equestrian sports in France. Nearly 70 French championship titles are awarded at each edition, spread across the four disciplines and various age categories. By Car
The Parc Équestre Fédéral is accessible from the RN20, between Orléans and Vierzon. Free parking is available on site.
By Train
The Lamotte-Beuvron SNCF station is a 5-minute drive and a 15-minute walk from the park. Trains run from Paris-Austerlitz and Vierzon.
Hours
Competitions and activities take place over three days, from Friday to Sunday, approximately from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
