Since 2013, the Jazz Session festival has been making Colombier-Saugnieu vibrate to the rhythm of jazz every February. This human-sized festival, held at the Maison des Arts et de la Culture (MAC), has carved out a niche in the jazz scene of the Lyon region thanks to an accessible, warm, and multigenerational program.

Colombier-Saugnieu, a town of about 2,700 inhabitants located near Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airport, transforms for a week into a welcoming and friendly jazz village. The festival has become a key family and multigenerational event in local cultural life.

A Week of Jazz in All Its Forms

Jazz Session offers a varied program that explores jazz in all its richness: swing, gypsy jazz, soul, blues, contemporary jazz, and original compositions. The festival hosts ensembles ranging from duos to big bands, mixing established artists and young talents from the regional and national jazz scene.

The festival is not limited to concerts: film screenings about jazz, fun and educational shows for young audiences, and Lindy hop dance evenings complete the program, making Jazz Session an event accessible to all audiences, from novices to seasoned enthusiasts.
