Art and Craftsmanship at the Heart of Meymac

Organized every year on the third weekend of August, the Journées Artisanales d'Art de Meymac have become a must-attend event for lovers of fine crafts in Corrèze and beyond. For three days, from Friday to Sunday, the historic center of Meymac transforms into a true open-air gallery.

Approximately 100 artisans take over the streets and squares of the village to present their creations and know-how. The event highlights manual work and creativity in every piece, valuing traditional and contemporary crafts.

A Diversity of Crafts

Visitors can discover a wide variety of artisanal disciplines: jewelry, leatherworking, woodworking, blacksmithing and metalworking, ceramics and pottery, textiles, glass, and many other crafts. Each artisan presents their unique creations and shares their passion with the public.

The exhibitors' stands liven up the streets of the historic center, creating a friendly and festive atmosphere. Visitors can interact with the artisans, understand their techniques, and acquire unique pieces.

Fair and Entertainment

Alongside the Journées Artisanales d'Art, a fair is set up with rides and attractions for children and adults. The event thus becomes a true popular festival that attracts thousands of visitors each year.

Organized by Tourisme Haute-Corrèze, the Journées Artisanales d'Art have become a major summer attraction in the department. In 2025, a Public Prize was introduced to recognize the work of the artisans.
