The French Capital of Wool Felt

Since 2009, Felletin has become the French capital of wool felt every two years for the European Felt Days. This unique biennial event in France celebrates the ancestral know-how of wool felting, an age-old technique experiencing a remarkable artistic and artisanal revival.

A Program Blending Tradition and Contemporary Creation

The European Felt Days program combines discovery and creation. The Felt'in Show, a fashion show featuring felt creations, is a highlight of the event. The creators' fair brings together over 50 artisans, breeders, and processors who present their creations and offer them for sale. Contemporary textile art exhibitions, discovery workshops with Lainamac, masterclasses, and company visits complete the program.

A European Textile Gathering

The European Felt Days are part of the textile dynamism of Felletin and Aubusson, a territory of UNESCO-listed tapestry. Organized by Felletin Patrimoine Environnement in partnership with Lainamac (a training center for wool crafts), the event attracts professionals and enthusiasts from all over Europe, making Felletin a reference point for wool felt in France.
