The big musical evening of Stenay around the bandstand
Kiosque en Fête has become a must-attend event in the musical and festive life of Stenay, a small town in the northern Meuse region known for its Beer Museum and historical heritage. Every year in June, the Place de la République transforms into a vast stage for concerts and festivities around the bandstand, attracting a large audience of all ages.
The Kiosque en Fête program spans musical styles to appeal to all generations. French chanson, rock, folk, pop, and festive covers follow one another throughout the evening, from 7 PM until late at night. Early editions featured local and regional bands, brass bands, and children's choirs, fostering a participatory and warm spirit.
The event traditionally highlights the local music school, whose students open the evening with performances showcasing their year-long work. This moment of sharing between student musicians and the audience is one of the event's highlights.
Kiosque en Fête is more than just concerts. A giant barbecue with local meats and fresh fries, a bar serving Meuse wines and local beers, champagne, soft drinks, coffee, and waffles are offered throughout the evening. About forty tables and benches set up under awnings around the bandstand create a festive guinguette atmosphere.
The event is the result of collaboration between the Monts et Vallées de Meuse Tourist Office, the City of Stenay, the Communauté de communes du Pays de Stenay et du Val Dunois, and the Meuse Departmental Council. This partnership demonstrates the commitment to bringing the northern Meuse territory to life through popular and unifying events.
Stenay, located on the banks of the Meuse in the north of the department, is a small town with a rich historical and gastronomic heritage. Its famous European Beer Museum, housed in the former malting plant, testifies to the region's brewing tradition. Kiosque en Fête is part of this friendly and gourmet identity.
The 20th edition of Kiosque en Fête will take place on Friday, June 26, 2026, starting at 7 PM, on Place de la République in Stenay. For this anniversary, the Monts et Vallées de Meuse Tourist Office and the City of Stenay invite the public to gather around the bandstand for a grand free evening combining concerts, a giant barbecue, and a local wine and beer bar. On the program: the duo Christophe & Helmut, Morik, and Jo Has a Gun.

To mark this anniversary, the event brings together local groups and those from further afield. The evening highlights chanson, rock, and pop, featuring:
Surprise animations will punctuate the evening to celebrate this twenty-year milestone.
