Culture in the Countryside

Born in 2012 from the initiative of a group of friends within the La Fée association, La Fée Estival has established itself as a key cultural event in the Jura countryside. Held at the Champ du Taurreau in Châtelneuf, this human-sized festival has built a strong identity around values of sustainable development, social connection, and cultural accessibility.

Two Days of Festivities

The program is structured around two complementary days:

  • Friday evening (6:30 PM - 12:00 AM): Concerts under a marquee with emerging local and national bands, offering diverse styles from French chanson to rock, electro, and pop. DJ set at the end of the evening.
  • Saturday afternoon (2:00 PM): Market of local producers and artisans, street performances for all ages, participatory activities (screen printing workshop, participatory choir, face painting, massage). Free admission between 5 and 15 euros for families.
  • Saturday evening (7:00 PM - 1:00 AM): Concerts with emerging headliners from the national scene, closing DJ set.

A Strong Eco-responsible Commitment

La Fée Estival stands out for its exemplary ecological commitment:

  • Set design with recycled materials: decorations and furniture made from salvaged materials.
  • Organic and local catering: short supply chains, local producers, on-site cooking.
  • Waste reduction: reusable cups with deposit, selective sorting, composting.
  • Soft mobility: encouragement of carpooling, bicycle parking.

Gender Parity in Headliners

Since its 8th edition in 2025, La Fée Estival has committed to gender parity in artistic programming, with balanced representation between female and male artists on stage. This parity approach reflects the values of inclusion and openness that have driven the festival since its creation.

A Festive Village

Beyond the concerts, La Fée Estival creates a true festive village with an expanded relaxation area (games, hammocks), a screen printing stand to personalize clothes, street performances, and activities for children. The warm and welcoming atmosphere makes this festival a cherished moment of sharing for families and contemporary music lovers alike.
