The free urban and electronic music festival on the Courchevel 1850 snow front.
Every year in April, as the spring sun bathes the Courchevel slopes, La Folie Douce Courchevel Festival offers a memorable finale to the ski season. For two days, the Courchevel 1850 snow front transforms into a huge open-air stage featuring a succession of DJ sets, live concerts, and musical performances against the backdrop of the snow-capped peaks of the Trois Vallées.
Born in 2021 from a partnership between EMA Events, the Courchevel resort, La Folie Douce Méribel-Courchevel — the legendary alpine après-ski brand — and the Planté de Bâton restaurant, the festival has quickly established itself as one of the highlights of the resort's event calendar. Its recipe: quality musical programming in a spectacular setting, all with free and open access.
The festival cultivates a musical identity at the crossroads of genres, mixing urban music, electronic music, house, disco, and festive DJ sets. The lineup combines internationally renowned artists and emerging talents, creating an atmosphere that is both glamorous and relaxed, reflecting the Courchevel spirit.
Over the years, the festival has hosted top artists: Martin Solveig, one of the world's most famous French DJs and producers, Bakermat, the Dutch master of tropical house, and Bon Entendeur, the French duo phenomenon of remixes and French touch, electrified the Courchevel 1850 snow front during the 4th edition in 2024.
The experience extends to a VIP area for those seeking premium comfort, while the main stage remains freely accessible to all. DJ sets alternate with moments of conviviality around the sunny terraces of the mountain restaurants.
La Folie Douce Courchevel Festival embodies the Folie Douce spirit, that festive and offbeat après-ski philosophy that has revolutionized resort entertainment since the 2000s. The festival amplifies this energy over two dedicated days, transforming the entire snow front into a continuous party space from early afternoon until nightfall.
Entirely free, the festival embodies a vision of accessible and inclusive mountain events, where skiers in ski gear mingle with partygoers in summer attire in a joyful and uninhibited end-of-season atmosphere. This alchemy of quality music, exceptional alpine setting, and free access has made the festival a highly anticipated event for thousands of spectators each spring.
The festival takes place on the Courchevel 1850 snow front, Savoie.
Free — Access to the festival is completely free and open. A paid VIP area is available for a premium experience.
The festival takes place every year in April, over two days (Saturday and Sunday), generally on the first or second weekend of the month.
