Stand-up Festival from Saint-Malo to Rennes
La Route du Rire is a stand-up festival that takes place between Saint-Malo and Rennes, in Ille-et-Vilaine (Brittany). Launched in 2019 by the Barocks association, the event has established itself as a regional hub for "stand-up piracy": a talent scout that guides its comedians towards comedic excellence.
Beyond public evenings, the festival runs a collective that trains its members in the art of stand-up. Each edition mixes established headliners and young emerging comedians, notably through a springboard open to new talents.
La Route du Rire comes in a summer collection (early September) and a winter collection, with evenings spread between Rennes and Saint-Malo: galas, comedian showcases, and open mic nights.
The detailed program, ticketing, and the springboard competition are published on the official website laroutedurire.fr and on the festival's social media channels.
La Route du Rire's Summer 2026 collection takes place from September 3 to 6, 2026, between Rennes and Saint-Malo. This 6th edition focuses on stand-up, with showcase evenings, galas, and an open mic bringing together established comedians and young talents from the "stand-up piracy" scene.
Details of artists and venues will be published as the program is announced on the official website and the festival's ticketing platform.
