About Ces Nains portent quoi !
Since 2012, the Jardins de Brocéliande have hosted nearly 1,500 terracotta garden gnomes every September, arranged in new thematic scenes each year. In Bréal-sous-Montfort, this 24-hectare botanical park reimagines these familiar garden figures to create elaborate, costumed displays that blend popular culture with collective artistry.
The gnomes are painted and dressed by the garden's staff, as well as by visitors themselves: a creative workshop allows you to take home a figurine to decorate for the following year's exhibition. Admission to the festival is included with your ticket to the Jardins de Brocéliande.

For the 2026 edition, the Jardins de Brocéliande are unveiling displays inspired by Game of Thrones, drag queens, and the Village People. Nearly 1,500 terracotta garden gnomes will take over the park from September 12th to 20th, and a creative workshop will give you the chance to take home your own figurine to decorate.

Practical information — Ces Nains portent quoi !
The Jardins de Brocéliande are located in Bréal-sous-Montfort (Ille-et-Vilaine), about fifteen minutes from Rennes. The park is open daily from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, from March 28th to November 1st.
Access to the festival is included in the garden entrance fee; tickets can be purchased online via the Jardins de Brocéliande website or on-site. Booking in advance is recommended for the gnome-making workshop.
