Pré en Bulles 2026 — "Transmission of Possibilities"

The 17th edition of the Pré en Bulles comics festival will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, in Bédée, about thirty minutes west of Rennes, in the town's multi-purpose hall and sports complex. The Le Chantier association has chosen the theme "Transmission of Possibilities" for this edition: the thread connecting received legacies—family stories, myths, languages, and places of origin—to the futures drawn by the authors.

Signing Sessions

38 guests are announced so far: 36 authors, plus the collectives La Vilaine (Rennes) and Fanzine Drawz. The festival notes that the list will continue to grow. Signing sessions take place from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, except between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, and a maximum of three albums per person is allowed on site.

Shows, Exhibitions, and Debates

Five shows are scheduled, including a concert by the trio Fractal Odyssey and bilingual French-Gallo storytelling by Morgane Le Cuff. Three exhibitions are announced, including Octopolis, an outdoor installation by Gaétan Nocq visible from early September at the Motte Joubin before being moved to the festival site. Two debates hosted by Yaneck Chareyre will feature live drawing by Alain Goutal and Dorthe Landschulz; a third will be conducted with the Breton investigative media outlet Splann!. Schedules have not yet been published.

Activities

Four activities are on the program: the Rébus tous azimuts scavenger hunt, the La Bande à Bullos comic strip workshop, the discovery of medicinal plants with Simples et Léger, and a "Meet with..." session still kept secret. The ticket provides access to everything: shows, signings, exhibitions, workshops, and debates.
