The trail running event of the Jura Mountains, from Lamoura to Mouthe
Since 2008, La Transju'Trails has brought together thousands of runners and hikers every early June on the exceptional trails of the Jura Mountains. Organized by the association La Transju', this event follows in the footsteps of the legendary Transjurassienne cross-country ski race, partly using its historic route between Lamoura (Jura) and Mouthe (Doubs).
La Transju'Trails offers a complete range of distances adapted to all runner profiles:
The routes of La Transju'Trails cross some of the most beautiful landscapes of the Jura massif: ancient spruce forests, wild valleys, panoramic ridges offering views of Mont-Blanc and the Alps, protected peat bogs, high-altitude pastures, and typical villages. Some routes cross into Switzerland, adding a cross-border dimension to the event. The permanent trail of La Transju', inaugurated in 2024, allows hikers and trail runners to enjoy the historic Lamoura-Mouthe route all year round.
With over 5,000 participants in 2025 for its 18th edition and the introduction of the 82 km relay, La Transju'Trails continues to grow. The event takes place over a full weekend with a start village, entertainment, exhibitors, and local refreshments, in a festive and sporting atmosphere that is the pride of the Jura region.
19th edition of La Transju'Trails on June 6th and 7th, 2026, in the Jura Mountains. Eleven events from 5 to 110 km, with a new 110 km ultra-trail between Champagnole and Les Rousses (4,350 m D+). More than 6,500 participants expected, registrations open on the official website.
La Transju'Trails celebrates its 19th edition on Saturday, June 6th and Sunday, June 7th, 2026 in the Jura Mountains. Organized by the La Transju' association, the 2026 event offers eleven events from 5 to 110 km, with a goal of over 6,500 participants (compared to 5,000 in 2025).
The main novelty of this edition is the launch of a 110 km ultra-trail connecting Champagnole to Les Rousses, with 4,350 m of positive elevation gain. Departure on Saturday, June 6th at 3 AM for this great adventure that plunges runners into the heart of the wild Jura: pertes de l'Ain, gorges de la Langouette, Foncine-le-Haut, ascent of the Chaux-Neuve ski jump, Combe des Cives, crossing to Chapelle-des-Bois then Morbier and Prémanon, before the triumphant arrival in the village of Les Rousses.
The routes cross the emblematic landscapes of the Jura massif: century-old spruce forests, wild combes, panoramic ridges, protected peat bogs, high-altitude pastures. Several events use sections in Switzerland with the mythical ascent of La Dôle, which offers spectacular views of Mont-Blanc and Lake Geneva. The passage over the viaducts of the Hirondelles line, the crossing of the Risoux forest and the Creux du Croue are among the highlights of the route.
The event takes place over two days with a start village in Les Rousses, entertainment, exhibitors, refreshment area and local catering, in a festive atmosphere that is the pride of the Haut-Jura region. Bib collection takes place at the Omnibus hall in Les Rousses from Friday, June 5th to Sunday, June 7th.
