The first yoga festival in Vendée, facing the ocean
Born in 2023 from the passion of three Vendée yogis — Maud Vinatier, Alexa Hogan, and Aurélie Kiefer — the La Vague Yoga festival quickly established itself as a unique event of its kind on the Atlantic coast. The ambition is clear: to contribute to the sharing and dissemination of yoga by taking advantage of the bright and rejuvenating setting of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie.
For three days, the festival offers a rich and varied program that explores all facets of yoga and well-being. Festival-goers can take part in sessions of hatha yoga, vinyasa facing the sea, laughter yoga, acroyoga, aerial yoga, duo yoga, kundalini, Nordic yoga, sophrology, and relaxation. Introductory workshops on Ayurveda, Non-Violent Communication, and surfing complete the program. "Yoga bla-bla" sessions, thematic mini-conferences, stimulate reflection on the practice.
The festival takes place in three emblematic locations on the Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie waterfront. The Marie de Beaucaire hall, facing the port, is the beating heart of the event. A marquee next to it hosts indoor workshops. Finally, the belvedere offers a spectacular setting with the Atlantic Ocean as the only horizon, ideal for outdoor sessions at sunrise or sunset.
Beyond the yoga mats, La Vague Yoga cultivates a warm and friendly atmosphere. A village of artisans and creators offers jewelry, natural cosmetics, and yoga accessories. Two food trucks delight festival-goers with healthy and gourmet food. A massage area allows for extended relaxation between sessions. Ice baths and nature outings add a touch of adventure to this weekend of reconnecting with oneself and the environment.
The La Vague Yoga festival returns for a fourth edition on June 12, 13, and 14, 2026, in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie. Festival-goers will find the three emblematic festival sites — Marie de Beaucaire hall, marquee, and belvedere — for a new weekend of yoga and well-being facing the Atlantic Ocean. The full program and prices will be announced soon.
