About Labeaume en Musiques
Labeaume en Musiques — edition 2026
The 30th edition of the Labeaume en Musiques Festival takes place from May 28 to June 7, 2026, in the natural and heritage sites of southern Ardèche. This anniversary offers a unique musical journey from Berlioz to Vivaldi, passing through Mahler, blending classical music, original creations, world music, voice, dance, and circus, in exceptional venues (Plage de la Turlure in Labeaume, animated cliff, sites of Tauriers, Saint-Mélany, Aubenas, Beaumont, Gravières).
Thirty Years of Music in Southern Ardèche
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the Labeaume en Musiques Festival will take over the spectacular landscapes of southern Ardèche from May 28 to June 7, 2026: limestone cliffs, banks of the Beaume, charming villages, and heritage sites. The Plage de la Turlure, in Labeaume, once again becomes the beating heart of the festival, accompanied by performances in Aubenas, Tauriers, Saint-Mélany, Beaumont, Gravières, and Vals-les-Bains.
A Cross-Disciplinary Program
The anniversary edition brings together classical music (Vivaldi, Mahler, Berlioz), contemporary creations, world music, dance, circus, and multidisciplinary forms. Two orchestras will perform consecutively on the Plage de la Turlure to celebrate Vivaldi and Mahler, with two original projections on the cliff. Over 80 amateur musicians will reinterpret Berlioz in Aubenas. Guest artists such as Thierry Thieû Niang, Ahmet Ali Arslan, Pulcinella, Maïa Barouh, the LEÏ collective, and the Akutuk Origins company create a unique sound journey.
Preludes in May
Several events will prepare for the festival starting May 10 in Vals-les-Bains with Les Échappées Vocales (« Sur la route du hasard »), then on May 26 and 27 in Lavilledieu and Genestelle with « Les 3 Mousquetaires en musique ».

Music at the heart of the Ardèche landscapes
Created in 1997, the Labeaume en Musiques festival is one of the historic festivals of the Ardèche department. For nearly thirty years, it has made music resonate in the spectacular landscapes of southern Ardèche, from the limestone cliffs of the Labeaume gorges to underground caves, as well as castles and commanderies. The founding idea is to create a unique dialogue between music and places, by offering concerts in exceptional natural and heritage sites.
Unique concert venues
The uniqueness of Labeaume en Musiques lies in the choice of its concert venues. Since 2017, the festival has been held in emblematic sites in southern Ardèche: the cliffs of the Labeaume gorges, the Commanderie de Jalès, the Aven d'Orgnac (a cave classified as a Grand Site de France) and the Château d'Aubenas. Each concert is designed in relation to the acoustics and atmosphere of the place, creating unique and memorable musical experiences.
An eclectic and daring program
The Labeaume en Musiques program is distinguished by its eclecticism and boldness. The festival mixes classical music (piano, string quartets, baroque music), opera, contemporary creations, percussion, and world music. The 2025 edition, the 29th, explored Mediterranean voices with a musical palette ranging from Greek laïko to Chopin's great sonatas, including the piccolo opera "Hibiscus et Palissandre" designed for young audiences.
A festival in the heart of nature
Labeaume en Musiques is committed to environmental respect. Open-air concerts, in the heart of preserved natural sites, raise public awareness of the beauty and fragility of the Ardèche landscapes. The festival contributes to the tourist and cultural development of the region by attracting music lovers and curious audiences, often coming from afar to discover these unique musical experiences.
Two weeks of music in June
The festival takes place every year in June, over approximately two weeks. The 29th edition was held from June 5 to 15, 2025, with a program focused on nature, voices, and creation. As a member of France Festivals, Labeaume en Musiques is recognized for the quality of its programming and the originality of its concert venues.
