The 17th edition of Le Souffle de Cristal will take place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Parc Michaut in Baccarat. The event features a 9 to 10 km popular walk at 9:00 am, a timed 10 km run at 10:15 am, a 5 km run at 10:45 am, followed by children's and teen races ranging from 800 m to 3.2 km starting at 2:00 pm, alongside a sports and community village. All registration fees are donated to the "Les Amis de Charles" association, which supports the fight against Charcot's disease.
2026 Edition — Sunday, September 6 at Parc Michaut
The Baccarat Municipal Sports Office is organizing the 17th edition of Le Souffle de Cristal on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Parc Michaut. Held during the first days of the new school and sports year, the event serves as a showcase for the town's sports clubs.
The day kicks off at 9:00 am with a 9 to 10 km popular walk organized by the local Club Vosgien (€5). Two timed races follow: the 10 km at 10:15 am (€10, for those born in 2011 or earlier) and the 5 km at 10:45 am (€5, for those born in 2013 or earlier). Both routes cover roads and forest paths and include official rankings. The podium ceremonies, corporate and association challenge awards, and a prize raffle will take place at 11:30 am, followed by lunch at 12:00 pm.
The afternoon is dedicated to younger participants: on-site registration begins at 1:15 pm, followed by an 800 m race at 2:00 pm for ages 0-12, a 1.6 km race at 3:15 pm for ages 13-15, and a 3.2 km race at 4:00 pm for ages 13-17, all at €2 per race. The sports and community village opens at 2:00 pm with free access. The youth podiums, school challenge awards, and final prize raffle are scheduled for 4:30 pm, with the event concluding at 6:00 pm.
All registration fees are donated in full to the "Les Amis de Charles" association, which fights against Charcot's disease (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).

Location
Parc Michaut, 54120 Baccarat. All races start and finish at the park.
On-site
Food, drinks, and crêpes available all day, plus entertainment and a raffle. Facilities include toilets, medical assistance, and parking for both cars and bicycles. The sports and community village opens at 2:00 PM with free access.
Registration
Registration for the 5 km and 10 km races is available online at le-sportif.com until 11:59 PM on September 4, 2026; after this deadline, a €2 late fee applies. The 10 km race is open to those born in 2011 or earlier, and the 5 km to those born in 2013 or earlier. A medical certificate or health questionnaire is required depending on the runner's situation. Registration for children's and teenagers' races takes place on-site starting at 1:15 PM on the day of the event.

Le Souffle de Cristal is the major sporting event of Baccarat, an emblematic city of crystal art in Lorraine. Organized every year in September by the Municipal Sports Office, this running event attracts hundreds of participants of all ages and levels through the streets and natural paths of the city.

Le Souffle de Cristal offers several race formats adapted to each profile:
