Le Souffle de Cristal is a sporting and solidarity event organized every year in September in Baccarat, a city world-renowned for its crystal works. Supported by the Municipal Sports Office, this event offers 5 km and 10 km road races through the streets and natural paths of Baccarat, as well as races for children and teenagers. Le Souffle de Cristal supports the association “Les Amis de Charles” which fights against Charcot’s disease. A corporate challenge rewards the most represented companies.

Le Souffle de Cristal is the major sporting event of Baccarat, an emblematic city of crystal art in Lorraine. Organized every year in September by the Municipal Sports Office, this running event attracts hundreds of participants of all ages and levels through the streets and natural paths of the city.
Races for all audiences
Le Souffle de Cristal offers several race formats adapted to each profile:
- A timed 10 km race on the road, covering the streets of Baccarat and its natural surroundings, timed and ranked.
- A timed 5 km race on the road, accessible to beginner and experienced runners.
- Races for children and teenagers with distances adapted according to age categories (from 800 m to 3,200 m).
- A popular walk of 9 to 10 km, open to all without ranking.
The courses follow routes combining urban and natural settings, offering participants a sporting discovery of the city and its green environment.
A solidarity commitment
Beyond the sporting dimension, Le Souffle de Cristal carries a strong solidarity commitment. The event supports the association “Les Amis de Charles”, which fights against Charcot’s disease (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). A portion of the registration fees is donated to the association, making every stride a gesture of solidarity.

By car: Baccarat is located about 60 km southeast of Nancy, accessible via the RN59 then the D590. Free parking in the city center.
