About Les Affranchi.e.s

Every year, Les Affranchi·e·s brings people together at the Château de Chiré-en-Montreuil for a weekend dedicated to gender equality. Launched in 2024 by the CIDFF of the Vienne department, the festival aims to take their mission beyond their usual offices, offering a friendly, family-oriented space to highlight their daily work: providing information on rights, preventing gender-based violence, and supporting personal autonomy.

Each edition focuses on a specific social norm to explore, reflected in both the site's decor and the programming. Live performances, concerts, a market featuring women creators, partner organizations, and healthcare professionals all share the space, alongside food trucks for refreshments. Admission is free.

Les Affranchi.e.s — edition 2026

For its third edition, the festival returns to the château in Chiré-en-Montreuil for a weekend in late September. The event features performances, live music, family-friendly activities, a makers' market, and food stalls, building on the success of the first two editions organized by the CIDFF of the Vienne department.
