Les Belles Journées: Bourgoin-Jallieu's Music Festival

The Les Belles Journées festival is a major musical event in Nord-Isère, organized annually by the City of Bourgoin-Jallieu. Since its creation in 2015, it has established itself as an essential cultural gathering for the start of the school year in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, now attracting nearly 10,000 festival-goers over two evenings of open-air concerts.

A Park in the Heart of the City

The concerts take place in the Parc des Lilattes, a green oasis located in the center of Bourgoin-Jallieu. This urban park offers a natural and friendly setting, ideal for enjoying musical evenings under the stars. The warm and family-friendly atmosphere of the venue contributes to the unique charm of this municipal festival.

An Ambitious and Eclectic Program

Under the artistic direction of Thierry Bordereau, director of the Théâtre Jean-Vilar, and accompanied since 2018 by programmer Victor Bosch, the festival offers a program that combines national headliners and artistic discoveries. The festival's philosophy is to showcase the talents of tomorrow while offering concerts by major French artists.

Ten Years of Growth and Success

Launched modestly in 2015 with local artists, the festival has experienced remarkable growth. The second edition in 2016, in partnership with Virgin Radio, already welcomed 2,000 festival-goers. Over the years, the lineup has been enriched with top-tier artists: Zazie, Clara Luciani, Caravan Palace, Benjamin Biolay, Juliette Armanet, La Femme, Catherine Ringer for previous editions, then IAM, MC Solaar, Jain, Pomme in 2024 and Bigflo & Oli, Rilès, The Avener, Caravan Palace in 2025.

An Accessible Municipal Model

Les Belles Journées stands out for its municipal economic model. Funded by the City of Bourgoin-Jallieu with a budget between 100,000 and 200,000 euros, the festival focuses on very affordable prices to attract a large and diverse audience. This pricing policy, combined with a quality program, has allowed attendance to quintuple in ten years while significantly reducing the cost per spectator.

Varied Musical Styles

The programming covers a wide musical spectrum: French chanson, pop, electro, hip-hop, electro-swing, independent rock, and variety. This diversity reflects the festival's desire to appeal to all audiences, from urban music fans to electro enthusiasts, as well as French chanson lovers.

Les Belles Journées — edition 2026

The 12th edition of Les Belles Journées will take place on September 4th and 5th, 2026, at Parc des Lilattes in Bourgoin-Jallieu. The festival continues its growth with two evenings of open-air concerts mixing French chanson, pop, electro, and hip-hop. The lineup will be announced in Spring 2026.

Les Belles Journées 2026: The 12th Edition

The Les Belles Journées festival returns for its 12th edition on September 4th and 5th, 2026, at Parc des Lilattes in Bourgoin-Jallieu. Following the success of the 2025 edition, which attracted nearly 10,000 festival-goers, the municipal festival continues to establish itself as a major cultural event in Nord-Isère and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

True to its DNA, this new edition will offer two evenings of open-air concerts in the green setting of Parc des Lilattes, in the heart of Bourgoin-Jallieu. The lineup, which will be announced in Spring 2026, promises to be ambitious once again, mixing national headliners and artistic discoveries.

Since its creation in 2015, the festival has built a strong identity around musical diversity — French chanson, pop, electro, hip-hop — and affordable pricing. Previous editions have hosted renowned artists such as Zazie, IAM, MC Solaar, Bigflo & Oli, Caravan Palace, Jain, Pomme, Clara Luciani, and Benjamin Biolay.

The festival thus confirms its place among the unmissable musical events of the start of the season in Isère, driven by steadily increasing attendance and the support of the City of Bourgoin-Jallieu.
