About Les Bourdonnantes

Every two years, Les Bourdonnantes brings together concerts, performances, exhibitions, and discussions in Saintes, all centered around the women of Saintonge. Founded in 2023, the organizing association highlights the women who have shaped, inhabit, or are transforming the region, with a clear commitment to ecological sustainability in its planning.

The festival takes place across several venues in the heart of Saintes, including the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre, the Théâtre Geoffroy-Martel, the public gardens, the Gallia Théâtre Cinéma, and the Médiathèque François-Mitterrand. Its inaugural edition was held in September 2024.
