A young cinema festival at the foot of the castle of Montclus

Les Courts du Château is a cinema festival born in 2025 in Montclus, a small medieval hilltop village in the north of the Gard department, listed among the most beautiful villages of France. Organized by the Association of the Friends of the Château de Montclus (AACM) in collaboration with Tripode Production, the event takes place every summer in the castle courtyard, which turns into an open-air cinema at nightfall.

Cinema under the stars, in a heritage setting

The festival's program focuses on short films, the backbone of the event, but also includes feature films shown as previews. Screenings take place outdoors in the castle courtyard, and some sessions for young audiences may be held indoors. The unique setting of the castle and its ramparts, overlooking the Cèze gorges, gives every screening a special atmosphere.

Designed as a friendly gathering for residents, holidaymakers and film lovers, Les Courts du Château aims to be accessible to all.
