St. Patrick's Day in XXL Irish pub mode in the heart of Mayenne
Les Diablintes is a Celtic rock festival celebrating St. Patrick's Day every year in Évron, Mayenne. Organized by the association L'Oriolet since 2023, the event transforms the town hall into a huge Irish pub for two electrifying evenings. The lineup mixes Celtic rock, Celtic punk, and festive folk, attracting nearly 1,800 festival-goers. The name pays homage to the Aulerques Diablintes, a Gallic people historically linked to the Mayenne territory.
The Les Diablintes festival takes its name from the Aulerques Diablintes, a Gallic people who occupied the territory of present-day Mayenne over two thousand years ago. The association L'Oriolet, founded in 2017 to revitalize the Coëvrons community of communes, is behind the project. After organizing the L'Oriolet Celtic Rock Festival in 2018, the team relaunched the adventure under the name Les Diablintes in 2023, with a format focused on St. Patrick's Day and Celtic rock. Since then, the festival has continued to grow, establishing itself as a must-attend event on the Celtic scene in the Grand Ouest.
What makes Les Diablintes unique is its ability to recreate the warm and electrifying atmosphere of a large Irish pub in the heart of a rural town in Mayenne. The Évron town hall is completely transformed for the occasion: immersive decoration in the colors of Ireland, dim pub lighting, craft beers, galettes-saucisses (sausage crepes), and crêpes on the menu. For two evenings, festival-goers dance, sing, and party with infectious energy, fueled by concerts of Celtic rock, Celtic punk, and festive folk that follow one another on stage.
Each year, the festival features a lineup of six bands spread over the two evenings, with a skillful mix of renowned headliners and new discoveries. You'll find leading bands from the French and European Celtic scene: Celkilt, masters of rock'n'kilt who have played at Hellfest, Krakin Kellys and their Irish punk fury, Goulamas'k, Mask Ha Gazh, Sons Of O'Flaherty, and Dirty Old Mat, a folk'n'roll one-man-band capable of turning every concert into a giant pub session. The lineup explores all facets of Celtic rock, from revisited trad to electro-celtic and festive punk.
Les Diablintes relies on the commitment of a team of volunteers passionate about Celtic music, supported by the Town of Évron and the Coëvrons community of communes. The L'Oriolet association works year-round to prepare each edition, from programming to logistics, communication, and site decoration. The festival is part of a dynamic of cultural enhancement of the Coëvrons territory, offering a festive, accessible, and unifying event in a human-sized town. With nearly 250 volunteers mobilized and a constantly growing audience, Les Diablintes confirms its place in the Celtic festival landscape of the Grand Ouest edition after edition.
The 4th edition of Les Diablintes will be held on March 27 and 28, 2026, in Évron with an explosive lineup: Celkilt, Krakin Kellys, Luneris, Goulamas'k, Mask Ha Gazh, and Dirty Old Mat for two nights of Celtic rock.
