Festival of air and wind celebrating Tomblaine's aeronautical history
The municipality of Tomblaine, located in the Grand Nancy metropolitan area, has a rich aeronautical history that the Les Éoliennes festival honors every year. This festive and family-friendly event invites young and old to look up at the sky and discover the many facets of the world of air and wind.
The festival spans three days at the Plaine Flageul in Tomblaine and offers a rich program of activities:
Friday is traditionally dedicated to schoolchildren: over 500 kites take to the Tomblaine sky, made and personalized by the commune's schoolchildren. This highlight of the festival illustrates the educational dimension of the event and its integration into local life.
Les Éoliennes is a completely free festival, accessible to all. This free admission, desired by the organizers, allows every family to fully enjoy a weekend of activities and discoveries around the fascinating world of air and wind.
The Les Éoliennes festival returns to Tomblaine for a new edition in 2026. Precise dates and the program will be announced in spring 2026. The event promises new kite demonstrations, taster flights, and activities for the whole family.
Plaine Flageul, Tomblaine (54510), very close to Nancy.
Free admission for the entire festival.
Friday: school day. Saturday and Sunday: from 10 am to 6 pm (indicative times).
