Artisan fair and exhibitions-sales in the medieval town of Nolay
Les Estivales de Nolay is an annual event held in the heart of the historic center of Nolay, a small medieval town in Côte-d'Or located 18 km from Beaune and 60 km from Dijon. For two days, the streets and squares of Nolay are transformed into a vast arts and crafts village, bringing together about forty artisans and artists from Burgundy and elsewhere.
The originality of the Estivales lies in the staging of open workshops. Visitors are invited to stroll from shop to workshop, discovering the know-how of ceramists, painters, sculptors, glassmakers, engravers, ceramic and painting restorers, art antique dealers, and many other creators. Live demonstrations allow visitors to observe the artisans at work and understand the techniques of each craft.
The exceptional setting of Nolay, with its half-timbered houses, its 14th-century medieval market hall, and its picturesque alleys, offers an ideal backdrop for this event. The Estivales contribute to the cultural dynamism of the town, which also hosts exhibitions and art creation fairs throughout the year. The event is organized in partnership with the Nolay Tourist Office and the Union de Défense des Hautes Côtes.
Les Estivales de Nolay return in August 2026 in the historic center of the medieval town. The event will bring together artisans and artists for two days of open workshops, demonstrations, and arts and crafts exhibitions-sales.
The Estivales take place in the historic center of Nolay (21340).
