Les Harmonies du Perche: Classical Music for Everyone in the Heart of Perche
Born in 2022, the festival Les Harmonies du Perche has set itself an ambitious mission: to anchor classical music in modernity and make it accessible to all audiences. For four days in August, the towns of Rémalard-en-Perche and Moutiers-au-Perche host high-quality concerts in an exceptional heritage setting.
A High-Level Program
The festival features leading international artists. The 2025 edition, the 4th, offered a remarkable program with Vincent Peirani and Grégoire Maret, two international jazz stars in a classical program, quintets by Mozart and Brahms for two violas, and the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto performed by violinist Pierre Fouchenneret and the festival orchestra.
Heritage Concert Venues
Concerts take place in exceptional venues: the Église Saint-Germain d'Auxerre in Rémalard-en-Perche, the Église Notre-Dame du Mont-Harou in Moutiers-au-Perche, and the bookstore "Un autre pays" in Rémalard. These intimate settings offer a unique proximity to the musicians and remarkable acoustics.
A Festival Accessible to All Audiences
Les Harmonies du Perche stands out for its desire to appeal to all audiences, including those unfamiliar with classical music. The program includes workshops for children, musical readings, and musical storytelling, creating bridges between the arts and between generations.
From Baroque to Modernity
The program of Les Harmonies du Perche covers a wide musical spectrum, from Bach to modern compositions, including Mozart, Brahms, Mendelssohn, and contemporary creations. This stylistic openness allows the festival to offer a vibrant and dynamic vision of classical music, far from elitist clichés.
Perche, Land of Culture
The festival is part of the cultural dynamic of Perche, a Norman region prized for its heritage, landscapes, and art of living. Les Harmonies du Perche contribute to the influence of Rémalard-en-Perche and its surroundings, attracting an audience of music lovers from the region and the Paris region.
