The Conches-en-Ouche Back-to-School Festival
The Fête de Conches takes place every year on the second weekend of September in Conches-en-Ouche, a medieval town in the Pays d'Ouche region. The program features street theater, circus acts, fire shows, concerts, artistic parades, and activities for both children and adults.
Street performances, fire shows, concerts, and a funfair
The festival lasts for three days, from Friday to Sunday. Street performances take place in the squares and narrow streets of the town center, featuring theater troupes, circus artists, and aerial acrobats. Fire shows are held in the evening.
Concerts and parades round out the street program. The extraordinary market brings together artisans and creators on Sunday morning at Place Aristide Briand. The funfair is set up for the entire weekend in the parking lot on Avenue des Promenades.
Family-friendly activities
The weekend includes a complimentary afternoon snack, a children's carnival, shows for the little ones, and interactive activities. Art exhibitions at the Maison des Arts and other locations around town showcase the work of local and regional creators.
