Les Insolites de Baccarat is an open-air contemporary art trail that takes over the magnificent Parc Michaut in Baccarat every summer. From mid-June to the end of August, works by contemporary artists are displayed among the park's trees, lawns, and paths, creating a surprising dialogue between nature and artistic creation. This summer event invites visitors for a free and open artistic stroll.

A Green Setting

The Parc Michaut, a vast green space of nearly 10 hectares in the heart of Baccarat, offers an ideal setting for this open-air exhibition. Featuring a rose garden, an arboretum, children's play areas, and a bandstand, the park is a popular spot for walks among locals and visitors. The artworks of Les Insolites blend harmoniously into this landscape, catching the eye around a bend in the path or by a flowerbed.

Varied Works

Each edition renews its trail with sculptures, installations, visual creations, and ephemeral works of all styles and dimensions. The artists, selected for their originality and their ability to engage with the park's natural environment, present pieces that are sometimes monumental, sometimes intimate, always surprising and accessible to a wide audience.

A Discovery Trail

Visitors are invited to follow a marked trail that guides them from one artwork to another through the park. Explanatory labels accompany each creation, providing insight into the artist's approach and offering an informed perspective on the works. The walk, pleasant and engaging, is suitable for family visits as well as contemplative strolls.
