Les Joyeuseries: Humor and Fantasy Near Blois

Since 2019, the Les Joyeuseries festival has brought a breath of good humor and fantasy to La Chaussée-Saint-Victor, a town bordering Blois, in Loir-et-Cher. Supported by the association Éclectique Music Diffusion, this spring event has established itself in just a few editions as a must-attend for lovers of humor and live performance in the region.

A Program Between Laughter and Music

The festival unfolds over three days at Le Carroir, the performance and event hall of La Chaussée-Saint-Victor, offering a modern and comfortable setting to host artists and the public. The program alternates between comedy shows — one-man shows, impersonations, stand-up —, concerts of popular music, gypsy jazz, or French chanson, and original entertainment that blends laughter and conviviality.

Renowned Artists on Stage

Over the years, Les Joyeuseries has hosted well-known names from the French comedy and music scene. The 2025 edition notably featured Bernard Mabille, an iconic figure of humor, Manon Lepomme, a revelation of quirky French song, as well as the Swing Shouters and the Pierre Mager Quartet for jazz and swing enthusiasts. The festival skillfully mixes confirmed headliners with emerging artists to offer a rich and diverse program.

Family Sunday: A Festival Highlight

Sunday is the beating heart and popular core of Les Joyeuseries. Entirely dedicated to families, it offers a free program with shows for young audiences, magical parades, games, popcorn, and snacks. It's a moment of intergenerational sharing where young and old come together in a warm and festive atmosphere, extended by a closing concert open to all.

A Festival Rooted in its Territory

Les Joyeuseries contributes to the cultural dynamism of the Blois urban area by offering artistic programming that complements the major institutions. The festival unites local energies — volunteers, shopkeepers, associations — and helps make La Chaussée-Saint-Victor a vibrant cultural hub in its own right.
