From mid-July to the end of August, every Tuesday evening, a different company takes over the courtyard of the Château de Joyeuse to present a show to an attentive and enthusiastic audience. Among the shows presented in recent years are adaptations of Maupassant's tales, theatrical investigations like "Dans la Tête de Sherlock" (In Sherlock's Head), and original comedies. The performances take place in the courtyard of the Château de Joyeuse, a former noble residence that overlooks the village and offers a remarkable natural backdrop for open-air theater. Tiered seating is set up facing the castle, creating an open-air amphitheater where centuries-old stone serves as the backdrop for the actors. In case of bad weather, performances are moved to the Grand Font cinema, Joyeuse's cultural center, ensuring the show goes on in all weather conditions.
