Les Médiévales de Bellegarde, known as the « History Bivouac », are historical re-enactment days organised by Bellegarde Town Hall at the Musée de l'Eau, in Bellegarde in the Gard (30127). Admission is free.
Each edition brings together about a dozen re-enactment troupes that bring to life eras from prehistory to the 16th century: encampments, combat and weapon handling demonstrations, archery, coin striking, crafts (weaving, embroidery, leather, ceramics, forging), medieval medicine and cuisine, as well as workshops for children.
The event usually takes place late April or early May (for example, April 30th and May 1st in 2022, April 13th and 14th in 2019). The dates for the 2026 edition are not yet confirmed; they will be updated upon official announcement. Information: Mairie de Bellegarde, 04 66 01 11 16.
