Les Musicales de l'Agly

An eclectic festival in the heart of the Fenouillèdes

The Musicales de l'Agly is a summer musical event that has been held for nearly 30 years in the small village of Planèzes, in the heart of the Fenouillèdes, a wine-growing and natural region located between the Corbières and Canigou. Every mid-July, the festival takes over the Jardin Loubet de Sceaury, a shaded green space offering an intimate and rustic setting for musical evenings under the stars.

An audacious and diverse program

The program of Les Musicales de l'Agly favors discovery and encounters: jazz, blues, world music, traditional music from the Balkans, North Africa, and the Caribbean, French chanson, reggae, and original creations follow one another over four evenings. The festival has hosted artists such as Louis Sclavis, Moonlight Benjamin, Connie & Blyde, Fülü, The Top Skank, Yeni Gayda, and Guembri Super Star & Lova Lova. Each evening holds its share of musical surprises.

Friendliness and terroir

Friendliness is at the heart of the spirit of Les Musicales de l'Agly. Evenings begin at 6 p.m. with wine tastings from the vineyards of the Fenouillèdes and Roussillon, followed by a friendly meal provided by a food truck or a community canteen. Concerts start at 9 p.m. in a warm and relaxed atmosphere, where the audience dances and interacts with the artists in the intimacy of the garden.

Participatory workshops

The festival also offers participatory workshops open to all, allowing participants to take part in the creation of a sung procession with masks and puppets. This participatory and creative dimension distinguishes Les Musicales de l'Agly from other festivals in the region and makes it a truly unifying event for the territory.
