About Nuits d'Été de La Grande-Motte
The Nuits d'Or is La Grande-Motte's signature pyromusical fireworks festival: a series of free, open-air displays synchronized to music, held along the seafront throughout the summer. Each show is designed by a professional pyrotechnics company and features a unique theme. In 2022, the city hosted Nuits d'Or events on July 14th, August 3rd, August 15th, and August 28th.
For 2026, the city has announced two pyromusical fireworks displays, scheduled for July 14th and August 15th, though they are no longer branded under the "Nuits d'Or" name.
Nuits d'Été de La Grande-Motte — edition 2026
In 2026, La Grande-Motte will host two pyromelodic fireworks displays on its seafront, on July 14 and August 15. The first, "Les étoiles de Francis Lai", is produced by Artidream and launched from a barge at sea. The second, "La voix des Braves", is produced by Pandora. Admission is free.
The City of La Grande-Motte organizes these displays with different pyrotechnic companies for each show, with every display synchronized to a soundtrack. For those unable to hear the speakers clearly, the tourist office provides the soundtrack for the August 15 show online.
On July 14, the Prefect of Hérault banned fireworks launched from land due to fire risks. The La Grande-Motte display, launched from the sea, was maintained and delayed from 11:00 PM to 11:30 PM to allow the World Cup football semi-final to conclude.
The City's 2026 communications refer to these as pyromelodic fireworks and no longer use the "Nuits d'Or" branding, which was still used in the 2022 program.

Practical information — Nuits d'Été de La Grande-Motte
Location: Seafront and promenade Jacques-Chirac, La Grande-Motte. Free admission.
By car: The city recommends arriving in the afternoon. The town center is closed to traffic around 9:00 PM on the evening of August 15th.
City-recommended parking: Parking des Peupliers (free, 800 spaces, about a 15-minute walk to the seafront), Place du Forum (2-minute walk), Point Zéro (5 minutes), and Allée des Parcs (about 10 minutes).

The Concept
The Nuits d'Or brings together several fireworks displays during the summer months. Each show has its own theme, pyrotechnics team, and musical score. In 2022, Artidream produced the displays on July 14th and August 3rd, featuring the themes "A Thousand and One Colors" and "Warriors," respectively.
Recent Updates
The tourist office published the full Nuits d'Or program in 2022. For 2025, they listed pyromusical fireworks on July 14th ("Once Upon a Time" by Fantasia) and August 15th ("Spells and Mysteries" by Pandora), without using the "Nuits d'Or" title. In 2026, the city has announced "The Stars of Francis Lai" (by Artidream) for July 14th and "The Voice of the Brave" (by Pandora) for August 15th.
