The intergenerational and eclectic festival of South Morbihan
Les Nuits Vilaines saw the light of day in 2020 in Péaule, a rural town in southern Morbihan, driven by a team of volunteers determined to create a quality musical event rooted in their territory. In just five editions, the festival has established itself as a must-attend event on the Breton festival scene, attracting 24,000 festival-goers for its 5th edition in 2025.
The hallmark of Les Nuits Vilaines is its musical eclecticism. The festival brings together artists from all walks of life on its stages: rock with Louis Bertignac and Les Innocents, rap and hip-hop with Black M and Alonzo, variety and pop with Yannick Noah and 47Ter, electro with DJ Bens, not to mention the now legendary Sunday Kitsch Party which brings together icons from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s like Fatal Bazooka, Patrick Sébastien, L5, or Franky Vincent.
The festival takes place outdoors in a rural setting in Péaule, just 30 minutes from Vannes and an hour from Nantes, Rennes, or Lorient. The site includes two main stages, a campsite with 2,500 spots, various food stalls, and bars. The relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere makes Les Nuits Vilaines a festival where all generations come together in the shared pleasure of music.
Entirely driven by volunteers, the Les Nuits Vilaines festival is part of an associative and solidarity-based approach. The organization implements a cashless payment system, accessibility measures for people with disabilities, and reinforced security measures. The festival also strives to reduce its environmental impact by favoring short supply chains for catering and implementing selective sorting throughout the site.
From its first edition to the 5th in 2025, Les Nuits Vilaines has experienced remarkable growth, going from a few thousand spectators to 24,000 attendees. The festival has successfully retained a broad audience thanks to accessible prices, a renewed program each year, and a unique atmosphere that combines musical discoveries and shared moments of celebration.
