Les Portes du Son Festival in Gémil

Les Portes du Son is a free, family-friendly music festival organized by the Mescl'Art association in the church square of Gémil, a village in Haute-Garonne located about twenty kilometers northeast of Toulouse. The event takes place on the first weekend of September.

The festival spirit

The name « Portes » (Doors) symbolizes the openness and diversity of the region, while also reflecting the ethical values instilled by the organizers. The goal is to offer an alternative to traditional village fairs. Local culture thrives on these annual gatherings, featuring a varied, high-quality musical program designed for all ages. The aim is to spark curiosity and foster community connection.

On-site

With a diverse, family-oriented program, on-site dining, wooden games, and artisan stalls, the festival is a perfect experience for the whole family in the heart of the village.

The 2025 edition

On September 5 and 6, 2025, the festival featured performances by Fabian Ordoñez (Latin music), the jazz-pop duo Amblar, a show for young audiences, folk music from Porter and Stout, electro beats by Reco Reco, and a classical music concert. A bar and homemade food were available using the festival's own currency, the « Blar », with local beers and reusable tableware.
