Les Rendez-vous de l'Aventure: The Spirit of Exploration in the Heart of the Jura

The festival Les Rendez-vous de l'Aventure is a unique cultural event that invites the public to escape, discover, and connect around the universal theme of adventure. Created in 2016 in Lons-le-Saunier, it has become a must-attend event for fans of travel, exploration, and adventure stories.

A Rich and Diverse Program

For five days in March, the festival brings together filmmakers, travel writers, explorers, photographers, adventurers, and enthusiasts for a dense and accessible program: adventure film screenings, literary encounters, conferences, photographic exhibitions, workshops, and outdoor excursions. Nearly one in two events is offered free of charge.

The OFF: An Itinerant Program

In the lead-up to the festival, an itinerant OFF program travels through the towns and villages of the Jura department for several weeks. Screenings, discussions with local adventurers, shows, and cultural events bring the spirit of adventure to life throughout the Jura region. In 2026, no less than 31 OFF events are scheduled in the department.

La Fabrique de l'Aventure

The festival is supported by the association La Fabrique de l'Aventure, with the backing of the City of Lons-le-Saunier, the Departmental Council of Jura, and numerous partners. It works to promote the culture of adventure in all its forms: sporting, human, scientific, and artistic.
