Les Rhinos Féroces: Punk Energy in the Heart of Vendée

Created in 2015 by the Réglisse association, the Les Rhinos Féroces festival has established itself as the highlight of punk rock and hardcore in Vendée. Organized every spring at the Zinor, a cultural and artistic venue in Montaigu-Vendée, this DIY event brings together about twenty bands from France and Europe for two to three days.

A Festival Forged in the Do It Yourself Spirit

Les Rhinos Féroces embodies the authenticity of the independent punk scene. Driven by a team of passionate volunteers, the festival is built on DIY values: accessible prices, demanding programming, and a warm atmosphere. From distro stalls to underground art exhibitions, including screenings and activities, each edition goes beyond just concerts to offer a complete immersion into punk culture.

An International and Discerning Lineup

Over the years, the festival has hosted prominent names from the international punk and hardcore scene: Guerilla Poubelle, Birds In Row, Insanity Alert, Knuckledust, No Turning Back, Dirty Fonzy, The Decline, Youth Avoiders, Ducking Punches, and Alea Jacta Est. The lineup skillfully blends genre legends, established European acts, and local discoveries, ranging from melodic punk to brutal hardcore, ska-punk, and post-punk.

Le Zinor, Ideal Setting for Punk

The Zinor, located at 191 rue du Moulin Gros in the ZA Nord et Gare industrial zone of Montaigu-Vendée, offers a perfect setting for this type of event. This venue, managed by the Collectif Icroacoa since 2012, includes a concert hall, a community bar, and a rehearsal space. Its underground atmosphere and proximity to the audience make it an ideal playground for Les Rhinos Féroces.

A Complete Festival Experience

Beyond the concerts, the festival offers committed catering with vegan and omnivore burgers, homemade fries, craft beers, local wine, organic apple juice, and artisanal lemonade. Photo booths, games, brunches, and screenings complete the program, making each edition a moment of conviviality and sharing within the Vendée punk community.
