About Les Terres Rouges
Les Terres Rouges — edition 2026
The 2nd edition of the Les Terres Rouges Festival takes place from July 16 to 18, 2026 in Castelnau-de-Montmiral (Tarn). Three evenings of paid concerts at the Vère-Grésigne leisure base, by the lake, featuring Jahneration, Bénabar, Louis Bertignac, Yaniss Odua, Zoufris Maracas and many others; in parallel, a free daytime festival enlivens the village of Montmiral.
A 2nd edition from July 16 to 18, 2026
For its second edition, the Les Terres Rouges Festival extends its program over three days, from Thursday, July 16 to Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Castelnau-de-Montmiral, in the heart of Occitan Tuscany. The two-site format is maintained: a free daytime festival in the village of Montmiral and paid evening concerts at the Vère-Grésigne leisure base, by the lake.
An eclectic program
The main stage welcomes headliners from French song, rock, and reggae: Jahneration, Picon mon Amour, and Zoufris Maracas on Thursday; Bénabar, Les Croquants, and Yaniss Odua on Friday; Louis Bertignac, Didier Super, and Los Tres Puntos on Saturday. The small stage and wandering performances (Azahar, Papito Collective, Mixkillaz, The John Bleck Band, Batucabronx) complete a lineup of about ten artists mixing French song, folk, reggae, rock, ska-punk, hip-hop, and world music.
A friendly and committed festival
Supported by over 300 volunteers, the festival cultivates the values inherited from Les Musicales de Montmiral: conviviality, musical quality, and joy of living. Free camping is available on site (tents, motorhomes), free shuttles connect the two sites, and access is free for accompanied children.

Les Terres Rouges: a new festival, a fifteen-year legacy
The Les Terres Rouges Festival was born in 2025 from the metamorphosis of the Musicales de Montmiral, a festival that enchanted the village of Castelnau-de-Montmiral and its surroundings for fifteen years. Supported by a hundred passionate volunteers and thousands of loyal festival-goers, the new festival retains the DNA of its predecessor — conviviality, good music, joie de vivre, simplicity, and the pleasure of good food — while opening up to new ambitions.
Two sites, two atmospheres
Les Terres Rouges unfolds across two complementary sites. During the day, the village of Montmiral hosts a free festival: a flea market and artisan market, an educational farm, plastic arts and kirigami workshops, traditional wooden games, an exhibition of vintage cars, and afternoon shows — theater, storytelling, magic, music, and equestrian stunts. At 6:30 PM, an aperitif-concert in the village square kicks off the evening.
In the evening, head to the Vère-Grésigne leisure center, by the lake, for paid concerts. Free shuttles and the Catétou path connect the two sites. The exceptional natural setting of the lake, surrounded by wooded hills and vineyards, gives the concerts a magical atmosphere under the stars.
A program open to all styles
The festival highlights local and emerging talents, offering a stage open to all musical styles: French chanson, folk, reggae, rock, ska-punk, hip-hop, and world music. This musical diversity, combined with the friendly atmosphere of the place and the quality of the volunteer welcome, makes Les Terres Rouges a unique festival on the Tarn music scene.
