Participatory festival of emerging cultures in Cahors
Let's Docks is the participatory festival of emerging cultures organized by Les Docks, Scène de Musiques Actuelles (SMAC) in Cahors. Born from the evolution of the festivals 'Visages Francophones' then 'Visages du Monde', it takes place every year in June on the Allées Fénelon, in the heart of the city. The festival mixes headliners and emerging artists in an eclectic program ranging from electro to rock to world music. Beyond the open-air concerts, it offers a free festive village with street art performances, graffiti, exhibitions, and cultural workshops.
The Let's Docks festival is the culmination of over a decade of cultural evolution driven by Les Docks, the Scène de Musiques Actuelles (SMAC) in Cahors. Successively called 'Visages Francophones' then 'Visages du Monde', the festival was named 'Docks it yourself' in 2016 before being renamed Let's Docks in 2017, a name chosen by a participatory public vote, meaning 'Let's go!'
Driven by the Do It Yourself spirit, Let's Docks aims to be a participatory festival of emerging cultures. It brings together headliners, emerging artists, and a passionate audience on the Allées Fénelon, in the heart of Cahors, to share artistic creation. The festival is led by Stéphane Delpech, director of Les Docks de Cahors.
The festival's program reflects the diversity of current music. Over the years, Let's Docks has hosted national and international artists in various genres:
Each evening, two to three concerts are scheduled on the Allées Fénelon stage, offering a rich and eclectic panorama of the contemporary music scene.
Let's Docks goes beyond a simple music festival to offer a true multidisciplinary cultural experience. The festival village, with free access, hosts numerous activities:
The festival extends the concert season and cultural activities carried out by Les Docks throughout the year. It extends beyond the walls of the SMAC to invest the city center of Cahors and the surrounding municipalities of Grand Cahors, forging links with cultural players in the Lot region.
The festival is based at Les Docks de Cahors, a SMAC-labeled venue located opposite the famous Pont Valentré, on the banks of the Lot. In addition to its 600-seat concert hall, the site includes a 600 m² indoor skatepark, a graffiti park, and spaces dedicated to artistic education. Les Docks is a true temple of urban cultures, from contemporary music to graffiti, skateboarding, and hip-hop dance.
The Let's Docks festival concerts take place outdoors on the Allées Fénelon, in the heart of Cahors. The festival village is free to access.
The festival takes place every year in June, usually over two to three days.
Passes and day tickets are available on the online ticketing service Digitick and on the Les Docks de Cahors website. The festival village and some activities are free to access.
