About Mangalaxy Festival
Every year, the Palais des Congrès et des Expositions Jacques Chirac in Valence transforms into a vibrant hub for manga, Japanese culture, video games, and science fiction. With around thirty free activities—including calligraphy and origami workshops, video game tournaments, retro gaming, Pokémon card trading, and a 100 m² laser maze—the event also features an artist and illustrator village and a peaceful Japanese garden.
Mangalaxy is organized by Planets Evolution.
Mangalaxy Festival — edition 2026
For its ninth edition, Mangalaxy takes over the entire Palais des Congrès et des Expositions Jacques Chirac for an action-packed weekend. The two-day event features martial arts demonstrations, cosplay, illustrator signings, and a Just Dance tournament, all set against a backdrop of Japanese food stalls and a creator's market.
