Rap, hip-hop and urban music festival by the Caronte canal
The Martigues Summer Festiv'Halle was born in 2019 from the desire to make Martigues vibrate to the sound of contemporary music. Held every summer on the esplanade of La Halle, avenue Louis Sammut, on the banks of the Caronte canal, this open-air festival offers three to four evenings of concerts in an idyllic setting, between sea and lagoon. In just a few editions, it has established itself as an unmissable summer event in the Bouches-du-Rhône, attracting a young and family audience around a general public program mixing French variety, pop, rap, and urban music.
Each edition of the Summer Festiv'Halle brings together national headliners and rising artists on stage. Artists like IAM, Zazie, Grand Corps Malade, GIMS, and Tiakola have graced the stage of La Halle, confirming the festival's ambition to offer an eclectic and popular program, from variety to rap.
The esplanade of La Halle in Martigues offers a privileged setting for a summer festival. Located on the canal bank, the stage is bathed in the light of the setting sun in the early evening, then by the stage lighting reflecting on the water. The site offers catering, bars, spaces accessible to people with reduced mobility, and free parking nearby.
With nearly 16,000 festival-goers, the Martigues Summer Festiv'Halle has experienced remarkable growth in just a few editions. The festival is organized by Sud Concerts on behalf of the City of Martigues, and has successfully built a loyal audience that returns every summer to experience open-air musical evenings in the warm atmosphere of the city of canals.
