A Journey into the Middle Ages
The Medieval Festival of Montguyon transforms the town into a medieval city for a weekend. The S2M association offers two days to travel back in time and immerse yourself in an authentic medieval atmosphere with knights, lords, and troubadours.
The Castle of Discord
The sound and light show "Le château de la Discorde", labeled Sites en Scène, brings together 120 volunteer actors to tell the eventful history of Montguyon Castle. Performances take place on Friday and Saturday evenings on the castle esplanade, with afternoon entertainment on Saturday.
Medieval Market and Entertainment
The weekend also features a night market, medieval entertainment, combat demonstrations, period crafts, and medieval catering. A total immersion into the world of the Middle Ages in the heart of Charente-Maritime.
