The 24th Mehun-sur-Yèvre Medieval Festival takes place on July 4 and 5, 2026, in the large meadow at the foot of King Charles VII's castle: medieval market, encampments, equestrian jousts, music and dances, feasts and entertainment for the whole family. Free admission.
24th Edition — July 4 and 5, 2026
For its 24th edition, the Mehun-sur-Yèvre Medieval Festival takes over the large meadow at the foot of Charles VII's castle, in the heart of the medieval city of Cher. For two days, the site transforms into a living medieval village.
On the program: market and artisan stalls, encampments and historical reenactments, equestrian jousts, medieval music and dances, archery and chivalry, storytelling, jugglers and magicians, giant chessboard, games and entertainment for children, and feasts at the medieval inn. A nocturnal show (music and fire) is offered on Saturday evening.

The Medieval Festival of Mehun-sur-Yèvre is a must-see event that celebrates the rich historical heritage of the town and its castle, a former residence of Duke John of Berry in the 14th century.
