Since 2005, Les Mardis de l'Été have set the rhythm for Issoudun's summer evenings, offering open-air concerts and cinema screenings under the stars every Tuesday in July and August. Organized by the Albert Camus Cultural Center, this weekly event has become a cherished ritual for residents and visitors to the Berry region.

An eclectic and generous program

The strength of Les Mardis de l'Été lies in the eclecticism of its programming. From French chanson to jazz, from world music to rock, including folk and festive music, each Tuesday is an invitation to discover. The organizers select talented artists, mixing established groups and emerging talents, to offer the public a varied and surprising musical palette. The season traditionally concludes with an open-air cinema evening, projected in large format in an enchanting summer setting.

Iconic locations in Issoudun

The performances take place in several locations around the city, giving each evening a unique atmosphere. The bandstand in the public Mendès-France garden, located near the Les Élysées cinema, is the main venue for concerts. The courtyard of the Saint-Roch Hospice Museum, a heritage gem of the city, and the Place du 10 juin 1944 also host performances. These open-air venues, in the heart of the city center, allow attendees to enjoy the mild summer evenings in a friendly atmosphere.
