The festival of movement and sensations at Lac du Der
Created in 2022, the Moov'O'Der Festival is the flagship event for the season launch at Lac du Der. Organized around a triptych of activities on land, water, and in the air, it offers over 50 free activities: introductions to water sports, board sports, climbing, archery, BMX, skateboarding, as well as concerts, a firework show, and the famous Color Run. This family-friendly and festive event brings together thousands of visitors each year in a friendly atmosphere on the shores of Europe's largest artificial lake.
The Moov'O'Der Festival is a season launch event that celebrates movement and sensations in the heart of Lac du Der, the largest artificial lake in Europe. Since its creation in 2022, this festive and sporting gathering has established itself as one of the highlights of the season in Champagne, attracting over 25,000 visitors from its very first edition.
The festival is structured around an original concept: offering activities on land, water, and in the air. On the water, visitors can try kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing, water scootering, or even dragon boating. On land, the program includes climbing, archery, handball, footgolf, and demonstrations of BMX and skateboarding. In the air, demonstrations of kites and skydiving complete the spectacle.
Beyond the sporting aspect, Moov'O'Der offers a varied musical program with open-air concerts. Each edition is punctuated by a grand firework show and a festive and colorful Color Run. Olympics, children's activities, and equestrian shows enrich the program.
The Moov'O'Der Festival stands out for its accessibility: most of the sports introductions are free, making it an event open to all audiences – families, couples, athletes, or the simply curious. The site is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
The festival takes place at the nautical station of Giffaumont-Champaubert, on the shores of Lac du Der-Chantecoq. This 4,800-hectare lake, located 200 km east of Paris, offers a remarkable natural setting between Champagne and Haute-Marne. Some activities extend to Vitry-le-François and Saint-Dizier.
